5. Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies. Technically necessary cookies are required for the basic functions of the website and are set automatically. They serve to make the website functional and cannot be deactivated.
The storage of technically necessary cookies is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing technically necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services.
Tracking cookies or marketing cookies are not used on this website. No data is passed on to third parties for advertising purposes. A cookieless, self-hosted tool is used for web analytics (see section "Web Analytics").
Web Analytics (Matomo)
This website uses Matomo, a privacy-friendly, self-hosted web analytics tool. Matomo is operated on our own server and does not set any cookies. No personal data is collected, stored, or shared with third parties. The analysis is completely anonymised. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in statistical evaluation to improve our services).
Cloudflare (CDN / Reverse Proxy)
This website is delivered via the Content Delivery Network (CDN) and reverse proxy of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Every request from your browser passes through Cloudflare's edge servers before it reaches our web server. In this process, Cloudflare handles technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, the timestamp of the request, browser type and operating system, the referrer URL, and the resource requested. The purpose is to mitigate DDoS attacks, deliver content securely and quickly (caching, TLS termination), and maintain the availability and integrity of this website.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and performant operation of the website). For this purpose, Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies (e.g. __cf_bm for bot detection, __cflb for load balancing); these serve security and load distribution only and do not perform user tracking. Data is transferred to the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, complemented by EU Standard Contractual Clauses. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is in place with Cloudflare. For more information, please refer to the Cloudflare privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Bot Protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
To protect our contact form from automated abuse (spam, bots), we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you load the form, your browser fetches a script from Cloudflare that checks — without a visible CAPTCHA — whether the request originates from a human or a bot. In the process, your IP address, a verification token, and technical browser information are transmitted to Cloudflare.
According to Cloudflare, no tracking cookies are set and the transmitted data is processed solely for bot detection. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting against spam and automated abuse).
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- > Browser type and browser version
- > Operating system used
- > Referrer URL
- > Hostname of the accessing device
- > Time of the server request
- > IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website — for this purpose, server log files must be recorded.
Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, your enquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate business interest in the effective handling of enquiries directed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular statutory retention periods — remain unaffected.

This website does not embed any social media plugins, embedded videos, map services, or any other third-party content. A self-hosted analytics tool (Matomo) is operated on our own server — no data is shared with third parties. No data is transmitted to external services such as Google, Meta, YouTube, or similar providers.
