Custom Software Engineering for Mars Colony
Off-the-shelf software doesn't fit every business model. When Excel workflows become a bottleneck, ERP systems can't cover all processes, or a competitive edge has to come from your own software — that's when we build a tailored solution.
What is custom software?
Custom software (also bespoke or tailored software) is built exactly to the business logic, processes and requirements of a single company. Unlike off-the-shelf packages like SAP, DATEV or Microsoft Dynamics, there are no compromises on functionality, UI or integrations.
veenoir has been building custom software since 2017 — from the first architecture sketch through agile implementation to production with a full DevOps pipeline, monitoring and maintenance. We work for mid-size companies in Germany and global enterprises.
When does custom software pay off?
- 001Competitive edge
Your competitors run the same off-the-shelf stack — you want a lead built on your own software. - 002Complex processes
Your workflows don't fit ERP/CRM templates without losing data along the way. - 003Integration nightmare
5+ tools that don't sync — one central solution would save hours every week. - 004SaaS product idea
You want to use your software internally and also sell it as a product. - 005Industry-specific needs
Catering, events, education, automotive logistics — niche requirements with no off-the-shelf solution on the market.
Our tech stack
We rely on proven, long-term maintainable technologies — no hype stacks that nobody will support two years from now.
- Backend: PHP 8.x (Laravel, Symfony), Node.js with TypeScript, Python (FastAPI) for AI workloads
- Frontend: Tailwind CSS as the design-system foundation — combined with vanilla JS, Alpine.js or TypeScript. Server-rendered for SEO, small bundle size.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
- Cloud & Hosting: AWS, Hetzner, dedicated VPS in Germany (GDPR-compliant)
- DevOps: Docker, CI/CD via GitHub Actions, monitoring with Grafana & Sentry

Frequently asked questions
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on scope and complexity. After an initial conversation we put together a transparent effort estimate — either as a fixed-price sprint or under a T&M model. No discovery fees, no hidden line items.
How long does development take?
An MVP is usually in production within 8–16 weeks. Larger platforms grow iteratively in 3-week sprints. We deliver testable builds every 2–3 weeks instead of a 6-month big-bang release.
What happens after go-live?
Software is alive — we offer maintenance, hosting, monitoring and continued development as an optional SLA. You can take the source code in-house at any time or stay with us.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Our home base is Thuringia, Germany. We serve clients remotely across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Mallorca. For workshops and kick-offs we travel to Erfurt, Jena, Leipzig, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart or Frankfurt.
What sets you apart from larger agencies?
Personal hands-on involvement from the founder, Benedikt Seifert. Plain communication and clean code instead of bloated frameworks. No account manager as a filter — you talk directly to the engineers.
